It was a day of final preparations and the only thing I think I forgot was the electrical adapter for New Zealand outlets. Minor.

The flight from Portland to SF was delayed due to high winds causing quite a stir among passengers who had connecting flights. A few of us connecting to Auckland had to get to the departure gate almost at a jog. The gate wasn’t close by. High adventure to start the journey! Now I’m seated on the next leg to Auckland, 13 hours, landing in Auckland at 8:55am on Saturday 3/3. I’ll just skip Friday March 2. Next post: Saturday
